This picture was taken outside of work on the foggiest day we’ve had this year. The scene was extremely eerie and I hadn’t seen anything like it in a while. This happened very close to the date of the zombie walk in Toronto, which had my Facebook scene and thoughts buzzing about the possibility of a real life “night of the living dead.” Silly I know, but that’s what you get with bored people and over active imaginations.
There was no one in sight, not even a car, which is why I was able to stand right in the middle of the road for some time before I actually took this shot. I couldn’t help but feel totally alone as I took the shot. It felt like the whole city had been deserted and it was a bit too quiet. Considering the size of the city it’s an odd feeling to have since you are constantly surrounded by people and traffic noise. I started to get a little spooked because I’ve always lived in the city and relied upon it for everything and I couldn’t imagine being left alone in a zombie apocalypse. I wouldn’t know how to survive and know I probably wouldn’t make it past a few days if I had to really fend for myself. Thankfully days like this are far and few between
